The Homestead Collective

You know those places you almost walk right past… and then end up so glad you didn’t? That’s exactly how we feel about The Homestead Collective in Litchfield – we visited last week, and we’re excited to show you around! Have a scroll!

We found the sweetest little shop in Litchfield… and you’re going to want to go!

Tucked just below street level (yes, you might miss it if you’re not looking 👀), The Homestead Collective feels like stepping into a beautifully curated version of your dream kitchen and home – warm, welcoming, and full of thoughtful details.

First impressions: warm, inviting, and easy to love!

From the moment we walked in, we got that “okay, wait… I want to live here” feeling.

The space blends the charm of a traditional general store with a modern farmhouse aesthetic. The shelves are lined with items that feel both useful and special. It’s intentional in the best way.

It’s also the kind of place where you naturally slow down. We browsed, sampled, picked things up, asked questions, and thoroughly enjoyed our shopping experience!

What you’ll find (it’s more than you think!)

We initially popped in expecting olive oils and balsamics… and quickly realized there’s so much more here.

You’ll find:

  • High-quality olive oils and balsamic vinegars
  • Kitchen essentials and yummy pantry goods you’ll actually use
  • Fun home décor pieces
  • Candles, cookbooks, and bath & body items
  • Unique, ready-to-gift finds
  • Even a few things for your pets 🐾

Everything feels carefully chosen – like someone (thanks, Christina!) already did the hard work of finding the good stuff!

The tastings (a game-changer)

One of our favorite parts? The vinegar & oil tastings. OMG, the vinegars!!

You can sample the olive oils & balsamic vinegars right in the store. Instead of guessing, you get to experience the flavors and start imagining how you’d use them at home.

We’re talking:

  • Drizzling over pasta or roasted veggies
  • Pairing with cheese boards or fresh fruit
  • Mixing into marinades
  • Even adding a splash to sparkling water… or dessert 👀

The story behind The Homestead Collective

The Homestead Collective is owned by Christina Zordan, who started by selling at local markets around Litchfield County before opening her storefront earlier this year.

Christina was inspired by time spent in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania – known for its craftsmanship and small businesses – and wanted to bring that same sense of quality and connection to Litchfield.
