Greer Southern Table

(Norwalk) Wow, we’re glad to have discovered Greer Southern Table. This is eating enjoyment on all levels! Elevated comfort food, and a feast for the eyes (and IG), this place is happening. Special shout out to the decor (lamp heaven) and craft cocktails. Pssst – ask for a seat near the pillar for a nice surprise (hint: look for the button). 🥂

“Southern fare with a modern flair. ” What a brunch we had! We’re talking pull apart monkey bread, savory cheddar & chive biscuits, chicken & waffles, bacon donuts, and mini-layered cakes!

Fife ‘n Drum Restaurant & Inn

(Kent) Have a cozy dining experience at Fife ‘n Drum; we highly recommend. They’re celebrating their 51st anniversary this year – and when you visit you’ll understand why it’s been around for so long. The wine selection is amazing, and their seasonal dishes are delish! Check out their house specialties prepared 0ld-skool, table side like the Caesar Salad for Two, which we love!

Fryborg

(Trumbull) If you love fries the way we do, Fryborg is a must! They make them double-fried, “the way the Belgians do,” and offer many dipping sauce options (our heaven!). To name a few, they have BLT, Currywurst, and Italian fries. And for the sweet teeth – they have grilled Nutella S’mores, Belgian waffles, and now offer freshly made donuts on a Saturdays, with amazing limited edition flavors and regulars like cinnamon sugar. YUM!

Siena Ristorante

(Norwalk) Siena Ristorante serves delicious, seasonally-inspired, modern Italian food. Their housemade pasta is incredible, especially the egg tagliatelle, yum! Perfectly charred wood-fired pizza, fantastic cocktails, AND a lovely view – chef’s kiss to it all! The desserts are as delicious as they are pretty. We went for the Tiramisu & chocolate ganache tart; both were lick-the-bowl-clean memorable!

Noujaim’s Bistro

(Winsted) Noujaim’s Bistro is tucked away in Northwest CT and a spot we frequent whenever possible! Chef George Noujaim makes the most delicious Mediterranean dishes. They serve Lebanese wine straight from George’s family’s vineyards. He makes the best baba, hummus, garlic soup, shrimp, special Teres Major steak with brandy cream sauce…and everything else on this menu.

Finish your meal with a raspberry chocolate coulis, or Baklava, a Lebanese coffee…and add Noujaim’s to your fave list!

Meraki

(Litchfield) Meraki makes the freshest, most colorful salads, sandwiches, and baked goodies. Well worth the drive to experience! Everything they serve is simple, healthy, seasonal, and tasty!

Savory 🦷 Pick: The Korean chicken sandwich and a selection of ALL the prepared salads.

Sweet 🦷 Pick: The Lemon Bar & Chocolate Brownie (made with 4 types of chocolate). Plenty of GF options, too.

Southbury Baking Company

(Southbury) Put Southbury Baking Company on your radar the next time you need a cake that’ll knock your socks off. We got a vanilla cake with raspberry mousse filling and buttercream frosting – yummmm! And for the cheese bread lovers out there, the cheddar/jalapeño bread is amazing, especially toasted with butter!
