Dansereye is a new, professional company of extraordinary dancers committed to producing entertaining and thought-provoking works of art. We had the extreme pleasure of getting a little sneak peek of a rehearsal last week. WOW!! We can’t wait to see Dansereye’s 2024 Summer Performance Season, The Fifth Temperament, taking place August 9 & 10 at the WCSU Visual Performing Arts Center in Danbury.

What is Dansereye?
Founder, and artistic director, Scott Thyberg formed Dansereye in 2023 to bring professional dancers together from around the country, enjoying Litchfield County as a summer base. During a six-week residency (we went to see them rehearse at The Frederick Gunn School, in Washington Depot) – they choreograph world-class entertainment for all to enjoy (this is not your typical ballet!). It all culminates with two performances at the Visual Performing Arts Center in Danbury this Aug 9 & 10.

Scott shared that they choreograph together and teach each other. That it’s a beautiful collaborative experience where professional dancers (on break from their full-time dance company for the summer) – have the opportunity to continue doing what they love in the magical surroundings of Litchfield County.
La Bici (or, The Bike)
We got to see some snippets from La Bici which will be making its world premiere at the upcoming performance. It’s a ballet about the funny ins & outs of the Tour de France. You will laugh and you will whoop! We did!
