Day Tripping: Ridgefield

We’ve done the planning; all you need to do is get in your car and go. 🚗
Day Tripping: Ridgefield has 9 stops – do one or do them all. It’s your fun day!

9 stops – no particular order!

Wellness pit stop @Nature’s Temptations

Nature’s Temptations is always a must-stop for us. The juice bar is as fresh as it gets, the produce section is entirely organic, and Dre in supplements is the real deal – people travel far & wide to see her. You can easily spend time browsing and learning something new. Don’t skip the prepared foods either – everything’s made in-house with love, and you can taste it in every bite. And psst…if you’re on the raw milk hunt, it’s here!

Walk on clouds @ Ridgefield Running, a CT RUN Co

You don’t have to be a runner to appreciate this stop. Getting properly fitted at a CT RUN Co (Ridgefield, Brookfield, Darien) is a total game changer – high-tech foot scans, gait analysis, and sneakers that feel like clouds. The team guides you so you leave with exactly what your feet need. Kyle got us sorted, and yes…we both left with new pairs. They carry performance gear and host weekly runs, earning awards for expertise and community impact.

Style with an edge @ Underground Co

Our jaws dropped when we walked into Underground Co – the aesthetic is EVERYTHING! They nail the balance of stylish, comfortable, and just a little edgy. It’s the kind of place that helps you find your own look, not just follow trends. Bonus: gorgeous accessories and giftable finds tucked throughout, so you can round out an outfit or grab something special on the spot.

Picnic perfection starts @ 109 Cheese & Wine

If you’re a cheese & wine lover like we are, you’re going to flip when you visit 109 Cheese & Wine! You’ll feel like you’ve magically been whisked to Europe (minus the flight!) as you browse their fromage & vino. Owners Todd & Monica have done the hard work curating a collection where every pick is a winner. We built the dream picnic (cheese + meats + a few extras) and took it straight to Ballard Park – highly recommend copying us. And say hi to their adorable new pup, Bandit!

Creative energy inside + out @ The Aldrich Contemporary Art Museum

Make time for a wander through The Aldrich – inside and out. The sculpture garden alone is worth it, especially on a nice day when you can take your time. We caught their Decennial: I am what is around me exhibit featuring emerging Connecticut artists and loved how approachable it all felt while still being thought-provoking. It’s thoughtful, inspiring, and refreshingly down-to-earth – exactly our kind of museum stop!

The perfect pause @ Ballard Park

Top tip: grab your spread from 109 Cheese and your Nature’s Temptation smoothies and head here. We set up in the gazebo and let the day slow down a bit, which felt like the perfect reset between stops. After your picnic, take a wander through the gardens and soak in the beauty—five acres of stately trees, flowers, and classic New England charm. It’s the kind of place you could easily linger longer than planned.

Good hair day guaranteed @ Adam Broderick Salon & Spa

We decided to add a little bouncy blow dry (thanks, Chelsey & Amber!) to our day trip, because, Adam Broderick! We love their Ridgefield location (the building is so cool and modern!) and the team is always ahead of the curve when it comes to hair & beauty. ALSO, we got to peek at their new spa area and OMG! – we can’t wait to go back for the full experience soon. Don’t miss the retail section – it’s full of things you didn’t know you absolutely need!

The thrill of the find @ Bring ‘n Buy

It’s hard to explain the rush we get walking into Bring ‘n Buy – is it the huge selection of designer labels at seriously good prices, is it Tina’s wit (we laugh so hard!), the shoes, purses, accessories? It’s all of it! Give yourself the gift of a little shopping therapy – you deserve it. Bonus: they ship, and fall finds are already rolling in, so it’s a very good time to pop in.

Gift game strong @ Bella Home

Need a gift? Or five? Bella Home has you covered. This longtime Ridgefield staple is packed with local goods, clothing, children’s items, and the cutest Ridgefield-themed pieces. It’s one of those stores where every corner has something worth picking up. From baby gifts to birthdays to “just because,” it’s an easy win – and yes, you’ll probably grab something for yourself too (no regrets).

Beyond these stops, Ridgefield is packed with even more to explore—dining, shopping, art, theater, and plenty of places to wander. Let us know if you go… and have the best day. ✨
