Lora thinks it’s a bit ludicrous that I come from Scotland (birthplace of golf) and have never, ever golfed. I’ve played miniature golf….so no, no experience whatsoever.
In an effort to encourage me to check it out (she really wants a female golfing friend) she partnered us up with a very cool women’s golf clothing company, Sport Haley, and arranged a shoot at the unbelievably gorgeous Bull’s Bridge Golf Club.
We headed to the 1st hole and the practice putting green to do some golf blogeling. The view could be seriously distracting to the non-golfing professional; it will take your breath away! Bull’s Bridge Golf Club has recently been added to Golf Digest’s Best Golf Courses in Connecticut list.
I went for a plaid, possibly Scottish look, and Lora went with the golf skirt and polo shirt!
Shiela short sleeve polo and Maddie pull on shorts
Ivy short sleeve polo and Kristen printed skirt
I did my best to look like a golfer, and Lora knew all the moves…
“Is this right??”
I guess my lack of experience showed as Director of Golf and Club Manager, Paul Ramee, Jr. came out to say hi and to offer us a lesson with him.
Challenge fully accepted. Watch this space…we’ll be back in the spring, Bull’s Bridge, and we’re going to play a game, a match, volley……Yep, lots to learn.

“Bull’s Bridge Golf Club is a private, member-owned golf club in South Kent, CT. The club takes its name from the nearby covered bridge which dates back to the Colonial era. While Jacob Bull built it to provide access to his grist and sawmill, the bridge reportedly offered passage to George Washington on four occasions during the Revolutionary War. Centuries later, the popular tourist attraction still remains active to car traffic spanning the Housatonic River just a few miles from the club.” (Information provided by Bull’s Bridge Golf Club)
