If only we could have gone to Scribble Art Workshop when we were kids…who knows what great artists we could have been! Owner Sasha Schwartz’s vision & teaching philosophy make the possibilities seem infinite! We watched while Sasha and Jasmine taught an inspiring Pre-School Saturday Art Workshop, then got hands-on because we couldn’t resist.
Scribble Art Workshop (Kent) offers art classes for all ages, from 18 months to adults. They also carry art supplies and wooden toys for open-ended play. Come, take a peek inside!

Meet Sasha Schwartz!
Sasha has been a New York City public school art teacher since 2005 and opened Scribble in 2011 in Upper Manhattan to give local families a creative after-school option. In 2015, she opened a second location in Westchester. Unfortunately, due to the pandemic, she had to close her Manhattan location in 2020 (but they still offer classes in NYC at many schools!). And in February 2022, Sasha opened her Kent location.
Scribble Art Workshop provides high-quality, developmentally based art-making experiences! Sasha believes in unique enrichment art classes that focus on problem-solving & creative thinking strategies.
Sasha has grown her business to employ over 40 teachers and offers classes in more than 50 schools & partnering organizations! And she’s now expanded to include art teacher training.
The Cave Wall
Before class begins, Scribble encourages sensory open play and to paint/draw/chalk the cave wall!
Snack & storytime
Let the class begin…
We were every bit as transfixed as the kids…
Sasha is a gifted teacher with a vision to give budding artists the authentic experience of being practicing artists. To conceive of an idea and realize it!
Students never paint the same thing and leave the studio confident in their own unique artistic style; experienced in many different types of materials & artistic methods.
Sorry to interrupt, but may we join in? 😬
Parents, Scribble is offering summer camp ALL summer long, with as little as 1-week sign-up options!
Mmm, art materials 🤤
The studio is designed so that kids (and adults) have easy access to the materials they need. And it’s all sorted by use, like inking, drawing, collage. Basically, an organized artist’s dream!
